I love attending the open mic at the Function Bar in Toronto. Every time I get there with my camera bag on my back, the host Greg shakes my hand and asks right away if I’d like to back up the next act on drums. I’m always grateful for the offer, and I always accept with enthusiasm. Next thing I know, the camera bag is set aside and I’m having a blast jamming with some of the regulars there, and some new faces too.

For once, I managed to notice someone recording video on their phone, for one of their friends who was on stage, but I also happened to be lightly pounding the drums in the background.

As usual, I was happy to connect with some new talented musicians and singers, and share my photos with them for their own use.
