I frequent the open mic events at the Function Bar in Toronto. It’s a great vibe, and an good way to meet fellow musicians, jam with them, and often times I’ll take my camera in tow for when I’m not on stage.

Here’s my latest collection of snaps of the performers on July 27, 2025. I shot with my Nikon Z5 and my 24-120mm F4 lens. I shot wide open with mostly 1/125 shutter speed and auto ISO. I used the handy highlight spot metering, so I never get blown out highlights, which makes post processing much easier.
