For the first time in a few years, I made a couple of visits to photograph cherry blossoms. They only come out for a couple of weeks in the spring, and peak times vary throughout spots in Toronto. For the first shoot, I found out about a small patch of trees near the CNE, and for the second shoot, good old reliable High Park. Enjoy!

Nice! As much as I’m enjoying Vancouver Island, I do miss Toronto’s Sakura, even though the crowd was maddening when I wanted to get around there.

Thanks Paul! Years ago when I was a student, I spent a work term in Victoria. Almost everyone I met was from Ontario, and they all said they missed the fall colours the most. But yeah, High Park in particular gets really busy. We took the subway there so it wasn’t too bad. One year I decided to focus my (sneak attack) photos on the people, fully knowing I wasn’t likely to get a shot of the blossoms without someone in the background.
